joe torre was offered a one year deal with the yankees and declined. took less money to manage for LA. He didn’t want to manage in new york unless he got a multi-year deal because he didn’t want to go through all the BS with steinbrener* again. He needed to move on and I’m glad he did. Yankees didn’t even honor him in the last game at yankee stadium. Thats pretty messed up.

Dude, im a Red Sox fan and even I know this. Joe Torre got fired and replaced by Joe Girardi. He didn’t quit, the Yankees quit on him. I’m suprised you dont know this.

Joe Torre is a traitor and a *****. He traded hard work here in New York for the glits and glamour of Hollywood. What a sellout. If I were him, I would’ve stayed in New York out of loyalty to the fans and to the team, not matter how hard times got. Los Angeles and Hollywood are just full of fakes and phonies. I, on the other hand, am a New Yorker and I will always be a true New Yorker. Mr. Torre, you are nothing to me now. You sold out New York for the phoniness of Hollywood. I spit on you now.
